Choosing a bedroom set for newlyweds in Lebanon

What a complete bedroom set includes

Sets differ, so always confirm which pieces the listed price covers. Every Gallery Elmir product page shows the price in US dollars and whether the set is in stock or made to order.

• Bed frame with headboard, upholstered or in wood.
• Two bedside tables.
• Wardrobe, with hinged or sliding doors.
• Dressing table with mirror, often with a stool.
• Chest of drawers (commode), in many sets.

Measure the room before you fall for a design

Measure the wall for the bed and allow at least 60 cm to walk on each side. Measure the wardrobe wall and the ceiling height, and check how far the doors swing; in a narrow room, sliding doors save space. Then measure the route in: the building entrance, the stairwell turns and the lift, which in many Lebanese buildings is smaller than a wardrobe panel. Our furniture buying guide lists everything to measure.

Choose materials that last a marriage

Look for a hardwood such as beech in the frames and a stable board such as blockboard in the wardrobe and panels, finished in natural wood veneer. Avoid sets whose wardrobe shelves and doors are chipboard; they sag and swell within a few years. Our guide to the best wood for bedroom furniture compares the options.

Choosing a veneer colour and a style

Dark walnut tones and ornate headboards read as classic and formal; light oak and plain fronts read as modern. Upholstered headboards in grey or cream soften either style. At Gallery Elmir you choose the veneer species and colour of a made-to-order set, so it can match your floor, doors and the rest of the home. Compare finished rooms such as the Harlow grey bedroom set, the Alden cream bedroom set and the classic dark bedroom set.

Timing around the wedding

Made-to-order bedroom sets at Gallery Elmir are ready in 2 to 3 weeks. Add time to agree the design and colour and to schedule delivery, so start four to six weeks before you plan to move in. A set that is in stock at the showroom can be delivered sooner.
